Jessica Martin
Jessica Martin is our trial attorney who practices primarily family law. She is committed to serving our current and potential clients in the Ozark, Nixa, Springfield, and surrounding areas.
Jessica Martin handles divorce, legal separation, custody, modifications, adoption, orders of protection, and guardianship cases for Martin Law. She represents clients in divorce and custody actions. Jessica has represented clients on both sides of ex parte orders of protection, and routinely handles cases that involve combinations of multiple pending cases. Perhaps the happiest cases in the courthouse are adoptions and have become one of Jessica’s favorite things to file and have become a significant part of the practice.
Jessica grew up in rural Taney County, Missouri. She spent her childhood on the family farm, and developing a strong interest in academics. She graduated as co-valedictorian of Ava High School in 2004. After high school, Jessica attended the University of Missouri, where she graduated with honors with her Bachelor’s of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with components in Chemistry, Polticial Science, and Music. While at Mizzou, Jessica was highly involved on campus, including membership in Kappa Delta Sorority, Marching Mizzou, Sigma Alpha Iota (professional women’s music sorority), and Symphonic Band, among others.
After obtaining her undergraduate degree in May of 2008, Jessica immediately matriculated to the Law School at Mizzou, beginning classes in August of 2008. During law school, Jessica took on many leadership roles, including serving on the Law School Ambassadors, and serving as a teaching assistant in three different courses for first year law students.
After graduating law school in 2011, Jessica moved to Christian County, Missouri, and married her husband, Sam. She took a job in Branson doing real estate and business litigation. In June of 2012, Jessica decided to hand out her own shingle, and Martin Law, LLC was formed. After opening the practice, Jessica began taking many family law cases, a practice area she quickly grew to enjoy; she greatly appreciates the opportunity to try to assist her clients through the stresses and difficulties associated with these cases.
In addition to running a busy family law practice, Jessica also serves in several different community organizations, including: CCCC Sertoma (Vice President), Christian County Bar Association Board of Directors (Vice President), Christian County Library Foundation Board of Directors (Board Member), First Baptist Church of Ozark (Assistant Teacher in KIDS Rock Program), Southwest Missouri Kappa Delta Alumnae Association (member), and participates in both the Ozark Chamber of Commerce and Nixa Chamber of Commerce.
Jessica prides herself on the experience and reputation she has developed in her time in Christian County. She is respected in the family courts of Christian, Greene, and Taney Counties. Please consider speaking with Jessica Martin if you are seeking guidance on any issues related to family law.
